Job description for production pharmacist:
We are currently looking for a competent and qualified production pharmacist to be a part of Cidex family. The primary responsibility of the pharmacist will be to handle the production.
Qualification:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a related field with 7-10 years of work experience as a production manager.
Responsibilities of production pharmacist :
- Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop production schedules to meet demand while optimizing resources and minimizing waste. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products. production pharmacist
- Quality Control and Assurance: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality control systems to guarantee compliance with regulatory standards (such as FDA regulations). Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor production processes and product quality.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products. Ensure adequate stock levels to meet production requirements while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase yield. Implement best practices and technology advancements to streamline operations.
- Personnel Management: Lead and supervise production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety in the production environment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant regulations and guidelines governing the manufacturing of nutraceuticals. Ensure that production activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, such as implementing robust quality control measures and contingency plans for supply chain disruptions or equipment failures.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage production budgets, tracking expenses related to labor, materials, equipment maintenance, and other production-related costs. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality or regulatory compliance.
- New Product Development Support: Collaborate with R&D and marketing teams to scale up the production of new nutraceutical products. Provide input on feasibility, process scalability, and regulatory considerations during product development stages.
- Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with other departments, such as R&D, procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment of production activities with overall business objectives. Communicate production status, issues, and resolutions effectively to stakeholders.
Requirement:
- Pharmacist license or certification from a recognized regulatory authority.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
